Our History

Rosamond Community Services District (RSCD) was formed in 1966 to provide three services to the inhabitants of Rosamond.

These services included supplying water for domestic use, irrigation, sanitation, industrial use, fire protection, and recreation; the collection, treatment disposal of sewage, waste and storm water; and street lighting.

In 1998, the voters of the RSCD approved two intitatives that expanded the District's mission to include graffiti abatement and providing parks and recreation facilities and services.

In July of 2007 the Rosamond Community Services Districts Board of Directors motioned and approved the formation of a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. With the approval of the Board, Rosamond Community Services District Foundation was founded to seek funding for recreational and enrichment activities in efforts to help build the Districts Parks and Recreation division. The Rosamond Foundation will also seek the funds to expand the District's water capabilities.
