"Right now the only way to improve our parks is through monies given to the non profit RCSD Foundation. We are working on grants, some of them matching grants, but our goal is to improve the parks even though we don't have any assessments in the community right now to bring in income. We want to redo the play area at Jim Williford Park to make it compliant with the American Disabilities Act. And then maybe start with a skateboard park at a Felsite location."
Two Phase Plan:
Phase 1- is a short term plan which we hope to have done by mid summer of this year where kids can go hang out, skate, have a good time and improve their skills.
Phase 2- is the long term plan with the Parks & Rec to build a big skateboard park at the new Felsite Park location.
