February 11, 2010 was the "Inaugural Event" for Diamond Street Facility, or as the Board of Directors called it, a "Soft Opening". The Rosamond Walkers came and viewed the facility.
During the "Soft Opening" Director Patty Rose showed off the many improvements made inside.
Some of the improvements for the Diamond St. Facility include: the walls being painted and textured, new baseboards, carpeting and flooring, as well as work done on the bathrooms. A supply closet was built and there is even a bulletin board and a dance floor! The dance floor is for classes such as ballet and they will be for both kids and adults. The room is also carpeted so that there can be kid activities and yoga. There is also a basketball court in the back. Though there won't be any basketball programs, kids can bring their balls and come and play once it is gated.
This is the basketball court behind the facility The court closes at 10pm. A gate will be put in shortly.
